Nanaimo, on Vancouver Island.
​Receive the care you deserve just 8 minutes from the hospital, allowing you an opportunity to heal, rest and restore before returning to your own home following an illness or a surgical procedure.

If you are the main caregiver for a loved one, and you just need some time on your own, your loved one can come and stay at Ann's Garden Oasis, giving you the break, that not only do you deserve, but very much need, so that you can refuel and continue to give your best care.
​We also provide home-care services in the community.

​​​A full Assessment must be completed by Ann (an LPN) or another designated Professional, prior to receiving a booking confirmation for Respite Care in your home or at Ann's Garden Oasis.

The Hummingbird Studio Suite
This unique private space with it's own entrance and patio speak comfort!
Enjoy your stay, as a Respite Care Client in the Private Queen Bedroom Studio Suite with plenty of spaces to enjoy some rest and relaxation. The lovely indoor sitting area, the beautiful garden patio, or the quaint garden bistro table amongst the cedar trees, where birds and squirrels are always at play, is sure to please. Help is only a text or call bell away. This suite is for those who do not have any cognitive issues and the bed can be changed out for a medical bed if required or is more desirable.
Beautiful Gardens
From your own private entrance with a cement patio, flowers, and lovely garden areas overhung by majestic cedar trees, you will be delighted by the aptly named "Garden Oasis". You are sure to see squirrels running the fenceline or chasing each other through the trees, and you may even see a hummingbird or two, flitting about. Just close your eyes, breathe in the fresh air, take time to de-stress, and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of Ann's Garden Oasis for Respite Care. Truly a place to rest, heal, and restore
Full Onsuite Bathroom
Step away from your everyday stresses and allow yourself time to heal at Ann's Garden Oasis. The Hummingbird Studio Suite includes a full European style ensuite with an extra large walk in shower for your use and we give extra attention to cleanliness here and throughout the whole suite, following the strictest cleaning protocols between every guest group. The heated tile floor in the bathroom, adds a special touch of warmth on those cold winter days.
A commode, and a shower chair, are available for those Respite Care Clients that require them.
